How many of you have ever spoken into a microphone and no sound came out. If you were amongst an audience of people they would’ve yelled, “we can’t hear you, turn your microphone on.“
Just like on a few occasions where my son and I may be out at an event, and we were offered something to eat or drink. I may decline at the moment and to follow my lead he may nod no. It wouldn’t be 5 minutes later he would come to me and say he was hungry! I quickly would remind him a closed mouth doesn’t get fed!
A sound must come forth in order to be heard. Words must be spoken to make a situation change. Have you been so silent and expecting for things to change? If so, it’s time to turn your microphone on.
Hannah comes to mind when I think about speaking up. In 1 Samuel 1: 10-18; “In her deep anguish Hannah prayed to the Lord, weeping bitterly. And she made a vow, saying, “Lord Almighty, if you will only look on your servant’s misery and remember me, and not forget your servant but give her a son, then I will give him to the Lord for all the days of his life, and no razor will ever be used on his head.” As she kept on praying to the Lord, Eli observed her mouth. Hannah was praying in her heart, and her lips were moving but her voice was not heard. Eli thought she was drunk and said to her, “How long are you going to stay drunk? Put away your wine.” “Not so, my lord,” Hannah replied, “I am a woman who is deeply troubled. I have not been drinking wine or beer; I was pouring out my soul to the Lord. Do not take your servant for a wicked woman; I have been praying here out of my great anguish and grief.” Eli answered, “Go in peace, and may the God of Israel grant you what you have asked of him.” She said, “May your servant find favor in your eyes.” Then she went her way and ate something, and her face was no longer downcast.”
Moving forward to verse 20 it also says, “So in the course of time Hannah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel, saying, “Because I asked the Lord for him.”
Hannah spoke to the Lord. She asked for his mighty hand to move in her life. Matthew 7:7-8 Jesus told the disciples, “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”
Have you put a limit on God because it doesn’t seem feasible to you? If its not in your eyeview? STOP IT NOW! Think about it sis, our Daddy God created the Heavens and the Earth by words alone. In Genesis 1:3 God SAID, Let there be light,” and there was light.
Proverbs 18:21 wisely states the tongue has the power of life and death.
Ladies I encourage you to turn your spiritual microphones on. Testing...testing 1..2 Testing testing 1...2.
