Stay Connected

While in Las Vegas in the month of February we took Ubers from place to place throughout the city. On one particular uber ride with our driver James. James was an older gentlemen with a kind demeanor. He talked about growing up in Chicago. He had asks us where we were from and then discussed how he migrated to Las Vegas. I could tell he enjoyed sharing his life with strangers. Finally we arrived to our destination, we said our goodbyes and thank you. Once outside the car James drives off and immediately my son says I left my cellphone in the backseat.

Before I reacted like a mom, I asked him how did he know while we searched his backpack. He said because my airpods made the disconnect noise. To make a long story short, I was able to contact James through the Uber app and he bought us the phone back. Thank you God! The point of this exciting story is the moment my son knew he was missing something valuable, is because he heard the disconnect noise. How many of you are hearing the disconnect noise of your relationship with God? I believe it comes as other forms, depression, fear, doubt, sin and so fourth. Our relationship with God must be intentional and purposed. Just like my son heard the disconnection in his ear, God will send you a disconnect noise to warn you.

1 Thessalonians 5:17 instructs us to be purposeful to pray always. Proverbs 3:5 tells us to trust the Lord, with all our hearts and by doing this we stay connected to the Father in Heaven in ways that always allows us to make no sudden moves because we trust what the Father says.

Ephesians 5:15-16 motivates us to be careful then how we live not as unwise but as wise making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.

Our lives on earth are empowered by the connection with our Father in Heaven. I encourage you on today to listen to hear if the disconnect sound is going off in your life. If it is, get connected immediately back to God who can heal, save, restore, protect and love you into wholeness.
